Moruga in the south of Trinidad is a place of history and mystery. Its heritage reflects not just that of the African-Americans who came, but also the Indigenous Peoples who walked the forested trails and lived in harmony with the Africans in olden days.

We begin our journey in Port of Spain, where some of the African-American soldiers settled. On the way to Moruga, we will share the fascinating history of who these soldiers were and how they came to make Trinidad their home.

Our tour will be a magical experience, filled with music, stories and Merikin-influenced healing practices, rituals, traditions and food.
