Zanté Cultural Arts & Theatre Camp

We are pleased to share information with you about our July/August children’s camp called Zante. Zante is a TT patois word meaning to play yourself or show off.
Founded in 2017, our camp had very humble beginnings. Today, Zante is now one of the favourite projects of our NGO called ICAN – the Ida Marie Guerra Indigenous Creative Arts Network. Our facilitators are experts in their field, while our camp coordinators have a wealth of experience with children and are First Aid trained.
Our camp is also recognised as one of the more influential experiences for anyone concerned about preserving the culture of T&T and ensuring that younger generations receive this knowledge in a fun and safe environment. We even produced our first Zante Carnival Band in 2020
This year, Zante Camp will culminate on Saturday, August 19th with a final showcase of everything the children learned during their time with us. From dance to theatre, mas, pan, drumming and more – on Saturday 19th you can put on your fancy dan dan and settle down to watch your children Zante themselves!
We are therefore pleased to invite you to register with us for the 2023 vacation camp experience. We would love to have your child/children with us for the full duration, but you may also choose to register for shorter periods. We welcome disabled children as well, based on consultation with parents/guardians and Zante camp coordinators.
