Idakeda has been working towards this for three years – the opportunity to work consistently with members of the school population and the Parent/Teacher body on a consistent and long term basis.
This week, we begin our interventions in schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago with a great sense of pride and accomplishment. The techniques honed by Eintou Pearl Springer – educator, librarian, actress, artist and activist – over the past thirty years, are now being showcased and tested in innovative and exciting ways.
Over the coming months, we at Idakeda will be introducing Popular Theatre techniques, music, dance, drama and literacy to the classroom as we work towards boosting self-esteem, achieving behavioural change and ensuring better communication throughout the student/parent/teacher circle.
