Ah Payap DVD shared with communities as part of Tourism Week

Idakedas Cultural Tourism DVD Ah Payap Is Story Fuh So The Hidden Cultures of Trinidad and Tobago is currently being shared with communities as part of Tourism Week hosted by the Ministry of Tourism

Idakeda's Cultural Tourism DVD ‘Ah Payap, Is Story Fuh So! The Hidden Cultures of Trinidad and Tobago', is currently being shared with communities as part of Tourism Week hosted by the Ministry of Tourism. Community events are being held across the country in the lead up to World Tourism Day on September 27th.

‘Ah Payap' is an original story of Trinidad and Tobago written by Eintou Springer. The DVD  features her and Pundit Ravi Ji as the Storytellers who weave a unique nation tale highlighting the hidden cultures of the twin island nation, that is the cultural and heritage practices which are still found in communities today.

From Dancing the Cocoa to Gatka, Parang, Pan and our Amerindian Heritage, these two elders through the powerful genre of the Story, take us deep into a rich culture which has always lived for them and which now through their eyes, lives for us.

Eintou and Ravi in this DVD share their wisdom and their genuine love for the community treasures of their home – Trinidad and Tobago.

We at Idakeda wish to acknowledge once more the support for the production from the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Development Company. Additionally, we appreciate their inclusion of this important national product as part of their Tourism Week.
