Idakeda partners with Ministry of Education for school Interventions

The Idakeda team will partner once again with the Ministry of Education to implement their unique Baby Doll Interventions for students and teachers

The Idakeda team will partner once again with the Ministry of Education to implement their unique 'Baby Doll Interventions' for students and teachers. These interventions use culture and drama as the vehicles for disseminating positive messages and solutions for dealing with difficult issues such as peer pressure, teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. The team will be working with schools in South Trinidad in an ongoing effort to broaden the reach and impact of the technique.

Idakeda began working with the Ministry some four years ago. At that time the technique was implemented in schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago with a great deal of success and positive feedback. The Idakeda team has since worked consistently to fine-tune and deepen its intervention approach, under the careful direction of Creative Force Eintou Pearl Springer.

In the coming weeks you can look out for photos and updates from these and other interventions as we continue our work in those communities that are most 'At Risk'.

Stay with us on our journey…
