Eintou brings Caribbean flavour to Bushbaby Brooklyn

Poet Laureate of Port of Spain, Eintou Pearl Springer will headline a host of artists from the Caribbean and the United States when she performs on the 27th of this month at the trendy Bushbaby café in Brooklyn, New York.

Eintou will perform from her critically acclaimed "Loving the Skin I'm In" in addition to her new and unpublished works. The live readings and performances will run from 7-10pm.

The programme for the evening will be hosted by poet Louis Reyes Rivera, producer and host of his own programme "Perspective" on the New York based WBAI radio station. Supporters of the artform can look forward to Open Mike performances, as well as pieces by noted Trinidad and Tobago poet Mervyn Taylor, poet and author Dara E. Healy and Louis Reyes Rivera himself.

Located in Bedford Stuyvesant, the My Space site of Bushbaby says that the café "strives to make history by creating an environment where you are lifted to new levels of enjoyment by offering a gourmet selection of beverages and light eats, and setting a platform where the Arts flourish through a seasonal program of live entertainment".
