Baby Doll 2008 starts off with major success

The 2008 run of Baby Doll Meets Midnight Robber had an explosive start with two workshops at the Princes Town Junior Secondary School in Trinidad

The 2008 run of 'Baby Doll Meets Midnight Robber' had an explosive start with two workshops at the Princes Town Junior Secondary School in Trinidad. The Eintou Springer play is a key educative tool used by Idakeda to reach out to young people, showing them the value of 'Right Choices' through the traditional and indigenous culture of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Idakeda team spent an entire day with about 300 students on the invitation of teacher Theresa McLean and Principal Patrick Dailey; the response to the presentation was beyond expectations. Teachers commented:

"Excellent Interactive Presentation"

"The Students were engrossed and the exercise was well received by students"

"Excellence par Excellence"

The workshop was managed by the following members of the Idakeda team:

  • Dara Healy, Baby Doll
  • Prior Joseph, Devil
  • Joshua Logan, Midnight Robber assisted by
  • Devon Harrigin

And thank you to Victor Donowa and his Audio Works team for providing the highest quality of sound ensuring that our message is indeed heard loud and clear by the young people.

We at Idakeda are humbled by the warmth of those wonderful students and the appreciation of the teaching staff at the Princes Town Junior Sec. School. We look forward to many more sessions and continue to do our work – Changing Communities through Culture!
