Award winning community arts group the Malick Folk Performers will take Eintou Pearl Springers play 'Canboulay' to the finals of the Prime Minister's Best Village Trophy Competition next week.
Springer's drama has been performed on the historical site of the Canboulay Riots of 1881 on Carnival Friday morning for the past five years. The play is usually followed by a parade of traditional Carnival characters.
Springer is no stranger to the Best Village stage, having served as a drama tutor in several communities in the nineties and later as a judge.

The finals of the Prime Minister's Best Village Trophy Competition take place on Wednesday October 10 at 21.00 at Naparima Bowl in San Fernando.
