The IDAKEDA Group has been at the heart of the celebrations for the commemoration of the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

The company worked to produce, on behalf of the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, and the Emancipation Support Committee, a supplement entitled ‘Remembering the Maafa’.

This supplement has received widespread praise for the degree and level of information it contained. Indeed a collector’s item.

Eintou Pearl Springer scripted and voiced the ad for the ‘One Minute of Silence’, requested by Caricom and the United Nations, in honour of our ancestors killed in the Middle Passage. The ad was produced by the IDAKEDA Group.

Ms. Springer was the Chair of the celebrated Rally in Woodford Square on Sunday 25th March 2007, and was one of the speakers who addressed the Sopana Festival at the IESOM Shrine, also on Sunday.

The IDAKEDA Group will continue to be involved in these celebrations. Keep checking our website for details!
