Harmony in Diversity – A musical story about Trinidad and Tobago

  • Explore: Harmony in Diversity’ is a play that celebrates the history, diverse cultures and people of Trinidad and Tobago through Traditional Carnival Characters, live music, dance and song. The full-length play was written by Dr. Eintou Pearl Springer, national awardee for Culture, author and former Poet Laureate of Port of Spain. Harmony in Diversity was first presented at Carifesta 2000 in St. Kitts & Nevis as Trinidad and Tobago’s official presentation.
  • We have developed an extract of the play to make it more easily accessible to international conferences, schools and tertiary educational institutions, for hotel guests, to showcase to visitors to our shores and for appropriate patriotic events. This version is directed by Eintou Springer, with choreography by Dara E. Healy. ‘Harmony’ was performed to critical acclaim as part of National Patriotism Month 2018, under the aegis of the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts.
  • Harmony in Diversity is a production of the Idakeda Group, a cultural organisation founded and led by Dara E. Healy. Idakeda’s purpose is to positively impact and transform communities through the arts, culture and heritage. Harmony in Diversity is an important aspect of this mission.
