‘Spirit of Chaguaramas', the latest play by Eintou Pearl Springer celebrates the legacy of our Amerindian ancestors in this beautiful region of Trinidad and Tobago. The play, written in poetic verse and dramatised in one act, was specially commissioned as an integral aspect of the upcoming Chaguaramas Festival which takes play in May.

Seasoned actor Brendon La Caille portrays the ancient warrior spirit who reminds us to respect the natural beauty and value of the world he remembers. Brendon is supported on stage by veteran actor Noel Blandin, Spoken Word poet, actor and musician Muhammad Muwakil and talented dancer, Samantha Flores.

This entire cast has worked with Idakeda Productions before. Brendon, Noel and Muhammad were all last seen in the Port of Spain debut of ‘I, Hyarima', another Amerindian-centered work, commemorating the legacy of Arima chief, Hyarima. Samantha has performed in a number of Idakeda Productions over the years including ‘I, Hyarima', the Leroy Clarke tribute, ‘Seeking the Source of Rivers' and ‘Sesa Woruban' about the journey of the African to Trinidad and Tobago.

Eintou herself directs the piece, while Dara Healy serves as Choreographer and Movement director.
