Is a Jumbie following me Chibale thrills audiences at Emancipation 2009
"Is a Jumbie, is a Jumbie following me!" This Chibale chant literally got former Stickfight Champion Moses Ralph of the Talparo Gayelle on his feet and dancing to their drumming rhythms at Emancipation celebrations 2009. Chibale (pron. chee bah leh) comprises Ajani Healy (10yrs), Shomari Healy (10yrs) and Kayode Charles (7yrs) with Chantwelle Shanya Springer (12yrs).

The group performed this year at the Opening of the Emancipation Village at the Queens Park Savannah with the multi-award winning Malick Folk Performing Company. Chibale members took the opportunity to showcase their Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts) skills while on stage, demonstrating their versatility and showmanship.
Chibale also performed at Rhthms of the People, where they had the audience dancing and clapping in their seats. The young group was invited onstage to perform with COBA, visiting Dance and Drum Ensemble from Canada as well as the famed Molombo Drummers from the Talparo Gayelle.
