Choreographer Christopher Sheppard has already begun to create movement using his own unique and fascinating style of dance for the tribute to Leroy Clarke written by Eintou Pearl Springer.

Dancers Samantha Flores, Joanna Francis and Dara Healy are working with the noted choreographer on a piece inspired by songstress Nina Simone and her "Sugar in My Bowl". The highly sensual dance acknowledges the many loves in the life of the great Trinidad and Tobago artist and depicts the internal struggles of the man as he attempts to manage his emotional journey as well as his artistic temperament.

"I feel this tribute to Leroy will be my greatest and most complex work yet", says current Poet Laureate of Port of Spain, Eintou Pearl Springer. Already we are beginning to see glimpses of the scope of her piece, and look forward with great anticipation to the input of veteran actor Errol 'Blood' Roberts, poet Muhammad Muwakil and singer and actress Camille Quamina.

Rehearsals with the full cast of the Tribute begin on November 1st.

As always, keep checking the site for photos and updates until show time, November 20th.
