Eintou Springer received a standing ovation and a public endorsement of her work by Pablo Armando, famous Cuban poet and icon during her recent visit to Cuba. Eintou was one of only two representatives from the English speaking Caribbean at the prestigious Havana Poetry Festival.

One of her readings took place at the internationally renown Casa de Las Americas known for its promotion of Caribbean and Latin American art and culture. In a visit that lasted just over ten days, Eintou''s poems "Survivor" and "Loving the Skin I'm In" were on the lips of all at the conference, whatever their mother tongue.

Poets from over forty countries, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean raised their voices in a celebration of the word during this gathering of esteemed artists of the 'Word'. International media provided wide coverage for the Festival and all agreed that the event was a great success.
