Other artistes included Leroy Clarke and the Metamorphosis Dance Company.

The seminar, which takes place from November 19-23, is geared towards enhancing knowledge about the slave trade in the secondary school curricula as an integral aspect of the UN goal of quality education in the 21st century. Participants include teachers from Barbados, Brazil, Denmark, the Dominican Repulic, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.

Ms. Springers' performance was a great success as she regaled her audience with her poetry relevant to the theme of the conference – 'Bone Water', 'Survivor' and 'Tilla's Lullaby'.
